Surface waters have a very cold bottom layer from certain depths. Water is extracted from this cold bottom layer by means of a large suction filter. The cold water will then be transported through pipes to a heat exchanger.
The heat exchanger ensures that the cold water cools the warmer water of another closed system, so that it can be used for cooling machines and/or rooms.
After this treatment, the extracted surface water flows back to the pool in a heated state. In fact, there are two closed pipe networks.
One network where cold water is extracted and heated returns to the pond. In the other network, hot water is cooled and circulated through the building.
