Universal garages are increasingly confronted with cars where the manufacturer prescribes which type of motor oil should be used. This would mean that all these products would have to be in stock in the workshop, resulting in overcrowded warehouses.
That is why EG Group, together with Texaco, has developed a rack in which up to 12 different types of Havoline motor oils can be placed in 20 liter containers.
Eelco Spaak (Lubes Manager Benelux at EG) explains:
“The packaging consists of a cardboard box that clearly states the type of engine oil and the approvals of the various car manufacturers. The box contains a 20 liter coated plastic bag containing the engine oil. Due to the already installed tap, you can drain exactly the right amount of engine oil into the jug, which is equipped with a gauge glass.”
A big advantage compared to the traditional plastic 1, 5 and 20 liter packaging is that the coated plastic bag is empty up to 99%. The box can then be disposed of with the old paper and the bag with the plastic waste. This results in less waste and costs, which contributes to a better environment.
Eelco: “The boxes are filled in our own lubricating oil warehouse in Ijsselstein, which gives us control and control over the quality of the entire filling process. In addition, the advantage is that we are also able to respond quickly to the demands of our customers. All products that we fill are in stock in IJsselstein.”
The rack is an eye-catcher in the workshop, explains Suzanne van Vliet (Marketing & Communication Manager at EG): Much attention has been paid to the appearance of both the rack and the layout of the boxes. The end result is impressive: a professional and clear appearance that does justice to the quality of the Texaco lubricating oil products.
